    Hey there! At Baltic Recruitment, we are thrilled to be assisting our renowned manufacturing partner in the search for a talented Design & Development Engineer.

    Position Overview:

    • Brainstorm and create solutions for new product development within the established framework of all on-site development activities.
    • Offer expert guidance on thermoplastic extrusion, including advocating for the technology and fulfilling specific project tasks.
    • Lead trials, particularly in extrusion, to support customers and internal development projects by crafting prototypes, analyzing test data, and compiling outcomes in test reports.
    • Cultivate strong teamwork with cross-functional groups to ensure the seamless integration of innovation initiatives and the product development cycle.
    • Take charge as a project lead on new product development by collaborating with cross-functional teams and overseeing the journey from concept to production launch.
    • Stay informed about material technology advancements and industry trends, integrating new technologies into the production process when applicable. Ensure that the suggested material choice aligns with environmental, mechanical, and product performance standards.
    • Coordinate project meetings, delineate deliverables, supervise timelines and resources, and provide reports while addressing any deviations.
    • Validate new designs, processes, and materials through testing, experimentation, and assessment.
    • Develop product functional analysis based on industry standards to convert customer specifications and internal requirements into well-defined product performance criteria.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver presentations to the internal team and clients.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Holder of a Bachelor's or master's degree in polymer engineering, materials science, or a relevant field.
    • Mastery of polymer science and technology, specifically focusing on thermoplastic elastomers extrusion processes.
    • At least 5 years of experience in the plastics sector and a background in Engineering.
    • Outstanding communication abilities.
    • Capable of juggling multiple projects to achieve set objectives.
    • Proficient in Project Management, with the ability to oversee innovative projects and new development requests.
    • Demonstrate innovation, propose changes to existing equipment and processes, and support their implementation.
    • Adaptability in work assignments to align with team and personal objectives.
    • Keen on acquiring knowledge about both new and existing technologies.
    • Strong design and prototyping skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
    • Awareness of the environmental implications of design concepts.

    Benefits Package:

    • Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 annually based on experience.
