The role
As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will have a role that's out of the ordinary.

Day to day, you'll conduct a wide range of activities to support the provision of services to UK Nuclear Submarines and warships, as well as visiting NATO units at HMNB Faslane.

For example; manual handling, lifting, moving from small pieces of technical equipment to the use of forklifts for heavy lifting to handle larger equipment and material and the packing and shipment of material to various locations.

The position is diverse in nature, with clear progression routes, which may include the opportunity to train to become a specialist in the future.

MSO skills are wide ranging, and training will be conducted in line with business needs at the time.

Shift working and overtime may be required as part of the role and will be in accordance with business requirements.

To note; this position may involve working at height and in confined spaces.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a growing team which can be challenging but fulfilling with foreign travel involved.

Essential experience of the Multi-Skilled Operative (TA/TLP):

All training will be provided, so experience of engineering / operations is not mandatory
You may have experience in; forklift driving, safety, labouring, access, slinging, facility/compliance, banksman, Explosives handling or Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat (RHIB) which is desirable but not essential
Driving licence is desirable
You will have a willingness to travel as you can be deployed to support RN vessels abroad. This can be at short notice and can range from a few days at a time up to a month, as determined by the support required, working worldwide

Competent teamworking, communication, time management, prioritisation, organisational, multitasking, and problemsolving skills are required

This role will be based on site at Faslane, Helensburgh.

You should hold or have the ability to obtain Security Check Clearance, BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) will be requested first.
