One of the major Japanese financial institutions is currently recruiting a Senior Business Analyst (Credit Risk) - AVP in their London office.

You will act as a Credit Department's technical solutions provider to achieve the Planning Group's mission: being a pivotal role for the EMEA division's growth strategy through streamlining the status quo and improvements of the IT infrastructure supportingthe department's day to day credit operations.

The focus of the role will be managing the full development life-cycles of analysis, development, and delivery for various efficiency projects of the department as well as cross-department initiatives.

An understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.

Permanent, full-time

WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday

SALARY:
£57K- depending on experience

LOCATION:
London City (Hybrid working style - It may change depending on the company's decision.)

RESPONSIBILITY:

Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata to ensure its quality and integrity
Conduct business analysis and develop new operating models assisting regulation/ rule changes, improving risk management and the bank's business strategy delivering the project successfully
Take ownership for the timely remediation of issues raised by the stakeholders by performing robust root cause analyses in busy environments
Work in partnership with enabling functions in the Bank to ensure that controls are adequately identified and monitored by the existing processes and systems
Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
Effectively manage stakeholder relationships to a mutually accountable, productive, respectful, and trusted level
Provide support for the team members' reporting tasks using single or multiple systems/ data sources based on the set rules and operations with accuracy in timely manner

Being able to demonstrate the skill to understand challenges, build new operation models and to communicate it to the senior management to get their support.
Excellent track records of implementing IT system projects in global organisation.
Excellent business analysis skills and being able to be a goto person quickly in a new field.
Flexible and corroborative to achieve a goal in a complex and crossorganisational working environment.
Excellent knowledge and experience in using big data on Excel, Access and/or RDB.
Being passionate about challenging the status quo and implementing your solutions
Business level of fluency in English
Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
