Description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday.
We are looking for an inspirational pharmacy leader to work with key stakeholders to drive a programme of primary care transformation across pharmacy services in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This is a substantial change programme in terms of both scale and complexity across six Health and Social Care Partnerships, 289 Community Pharmacies, 232 GP Surgeries and a range of specialist pharmacy services across primary care.
The successful candidate will have a key role in leading the delivery of the pharmacy priorities in the Board's Primary Care Strategy and the Pharmacy Services Strategic Framework, Moving Pharmacy Forward. In addition you will lead on organisational strategies and plans to support the safe, effective and cost effective use of medicines in primary care and specialist services.
You will be a registered pharmacist and should have significant senior management experience in community or primary care pharmacy and be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise and skills across the four pillars of professional practice, leadership and management, education and research.
