Role and Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the teaching staff to provide a tailored and nurturing learning experience for students with SEN


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individual students or small groups in their academic and social development.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Providing assistance with classroom activities and adapting materials to meet students' needs.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and providing emotional support to students.
  • Liaising with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in students' education.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of students.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable.
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • EWC registration

Job Types:

Salary:
From £80.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience:


  • Special education: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • DBS on the Update Service
(preferred)


Ability to Commute:

  • Cardiff (preferred)
