    EBE is looking for a Teaching and Learning Advisor to join our Great Teaching Toolkit team.

    The role will involve ensuring every GTT member school has a good experience, from the moment they join, through to their renewal and beyond.

    There will also be opportunities to travel and deliver talks and sessions, if desired, as well as to write content based on the Model for Great Teaching and the experiences of GTT member schools.

    We are ideally looking for someone who can work full-time and is north-east-based, but several of our team are either part-time, or hybrid/remote; education if you have any questions

    We are a small but growing team of 19 staff, mostly based in the north-east of England, whose mission is to help schools, colleges and teachers improve the quality of teaching and learning in classrooms around the world.

    Our Great Teaching Toolkit (GTT) is an online platform designed to provide a scalable solution for schools seeking to provide evidence-based Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for their staff.

    It includes a suite of courses, more than 500 teaching resources, student and video feedback tools, underpinned by a model for teachers getting better, together.

    Released in September 2021, the GTT is already used by more than 14,000 teachers in the UK and around the world, as well as more than 5,000 Early Career Teachers and Mentors, through a partnership with the National Institute of Teaching.

    We're looking to continue to develop and improve what it offers, ultimately to reach even more schools and colleges, teachers and students.


    Based out of our Sunderland office.

    A flexible balance between home and office working is ideal, though we are also open to remote working for the right candidate.

    Dependent on experience, but we expect the range for a full-time role to be £30,000-£37,000.

    Contract :
    Full-time, permanent is ideal, though we are open to alternative working arrangements.
    Core hours are 10am-3pm Monday to Friday. Outside of this window, flexible working is encouraged.

    This role is a varied one, which involves working closely with coordinators and teachers within our member schools, at all stages of their membership.

    It is about ensuring every school has a good experience with the Great Teaching Toolkit, and sees as much value from the GTT as possible.

    Onboarding and support for the in-school coordinator in planning successful implementation.
    Monitoring usage and providing nudges and prompts to engage with helpful tools and resources.

    Creating content (blogs, podcasts, videos, marketing materials) based on the Model for Great Teaching, and the experiences of GTT member schools.

    Delivering talks, presentations and sessions with current and prospective member schools (with opportunities for travel and visiting schools).

    We don't expect that the right person will necessarily be an expert in all of these things immediately – however, a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and an enjoyment in a varied workplace and job are key to the success of every EBEster.

    Working (or has worked) in education, and is motivated to support improvements to the quality of teaching and learning in every classroom.

    Self-starting and able to manage projects in a timely and organised fashion, working with internal and external stakeholders alike.
