    Description

    Themis Recruit are seeking adedicated and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join ourclients dynamic Personal Injury department. The successfulcandidate will handle a diverse caseload of clinical negligenceclaims as well as some Personal Injury experience providing expertlegal advice and representation to clients who have sufferedmedical malpractice. This role requires a high degree of empathyexcellent communication skills and a strong legalacumen.


    KeyResponsibilities

    • CaseManagement: Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claimsfrom initial instruction through to conclusion including complexand highvalue cases.
    • ClientInteraction: Provide clear and empathetic advice to clientsensuring they are kept informed of the progress of their case andunderstand their legal rights andoptions.
    • Investigation and EvidenceGathering: Conduct thorough investigations including obtainingmedical records instructing medical experts and analysing evidenceto build a strong case.
    • Negotiationand Settlement: Negotiate settlements with defendants and theirrepresentatives to achieve the best possible outcome forclients.
    • Litigation: Prepare andissue court proceedings when necessary representing clients atcourt hearings andtrials.
    • Compliance: Ensurecompliance with all regulatory requirements including maintainingaccurate and uptodate case files and adhering to time limits andprocedural rules.
    • TeamCollaboration: Work closely with other solicitors paralegals andadministrative staff to ensure a high standard of client care andcase management.
    • ProfessionalDevelopment: Stay uptodate with developments in clinical negligencelaw and participate in continuous professional developmentactivities.


    Requirements

    • EducationalBackground: Qualified Solicitor with a current PractisingCertificate.
    • Experience: Minimum 5years of postqualification experience (PQE) in clinical negligencelaw.
    • Knowledge: Indepthunderstanding of clinical negligence law including medicalterminology and the legal process for medical malpracticeclaims.
    • Skills:
      • Stronganalytical and problemsolvingskills.
      • Excellent written and oralcommunication skills.
      • Ability tomanage a highvolume caseloadeffectively.
      • Proficient in legalresearch and the use of case managementsoftware.
      • Strong negotiation skillsand the ability to achieve favourablesettlements.
      • High level of empathyand the ability to handle sensitive situations withdiscretion.
      • Personal Attributes:Detailoriented highly organized selfmotivated and able to work bothindependently and as part of ateam.
