BEAR is an alliance of three highly successful organisations who are prominent in the United Kingdom roads sector - Vinci, Jacobs and Breedon - joining together to provide trunk road network management and maintenance solutions to Transport Scotland.

We are looking to add a Payroll Officer to our team based within our head office in Perth (or alternatively, within our South Queensferry office).
You will be working in a primary payroll position where you will ensure the effective management and delivery of payroll for around 850 employees.
You will also be part of a project team to deliver new payroll software.Responsibilities include:
- Review and analyse electronic timesheets.
- Export timesheets from Dynamics 365 and input into Payroll.
- Check contractual overtime and benefits which have been claimed.
- Calculate and process holiday pay.
- Prepare weekly and monthly BACS files.
- Carry out all payrollrelated weekly and monthly processes including issuing payslips, P45, P32 consolidation, EPS, FPS, nominal analysis and department analysis.
- Month end payroll related processes.
- Manage pension contributions and payments.
- Process benefits e.g. Holiday Purchase, Cycle Scheme.
- Provide management with overtime analysis and other adhoc reports as the business requires.
- Manage payments to third parties, e.g. court deductions, union fees.
- Manage payroll related queries.
- Provide monthly KPI reports.
- Provide P11d's.
- Issue P60's.
- Assist financial auditors for year
- Production of adhoc payroll reports when required.
- Various year end tasks.
- Ensure compliance with current HMRC/legislative requirements and advise/respond to future changes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Must have minimum 2 years experience in Payroll.
- CIPP is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of IT and payroll systems, must have a good knowledge and skill at excel e.g. Pivot Tables, look ups.
- Knowledge of current Payroll and Pension legislation.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to prioritise and manage workload.
