    We're looking for a part-time claims handler to join our team for a 12 month FTC.

    The role will involve handling insurance claims from cradle to grave, liaising with clients, insurers and loss adjusters to provide a first-class claims service.

    90-95% of the claims are property claims but there will also be some liability and financial lines claims.

    We will require 15 hours of work per week. Ideally this is 3 hours per day, 5 days per week but there is some flexibility on this.

    Our office is in the City of London. Attendance in the office will only be required a maximum of one day per week. The rest of the time working remotely is acceptable. From time to time a site visit may be required.

    Duties
    Be the first point of contact for clients in the reporting of all types of claim, ensuring they receive prompt and accurate advice on how to progress the claim
    Liaise and negotiate with insurers and loss adjusters on client claims and chase for settlement.
    Deal with claims enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner
    Actively monitor progress on outstanding claims and provide timely and accurate feedback to clients and account handlers/executives
    Ensure all required documentation in support of claims are dispatched to insurers
    Maintain client records with up-to-date information regarding claims history
    Control your own diary system ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates.

    The ideal candidate will have:
    A minimum of 3 years' experience within the insurance industry, and a minimum of 1 year in a Claims Handling Role
    Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone
    Ability to work efficiently under pressure
    Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
    The ability to function well in a team environment
    Experience using Acturis
