Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Head of Department in the development and implementation of curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with national standards and educational best practices.
  • Lead and support a team of dedicated educators, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of their student body.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning outcomes, implementing interventions where necessary to drive continuous improvement.
  • Play an active role in the school's pastoral care system, promoting the wellbeing and personal development of all students.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and partnership.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a proven track record of successful teaching and leadership within a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and empower colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
