As a Barclays Associate Banker in Corporate Banking, you'll support and contribute to the growth of one or more client portfolios across UK Corporate Banking.
You will play a crucial role in enabling our journey to become the banker of choice for our clients' Corporate and Investment Banking needs, whilst developing the skills and product knowledge to build a career as a Corporate Banker.

What will you be doing?:
- Supporting Bankers to proactively develop and maintain new and existing client relationships, assisting in the delivery of great outcomes for our clients
- Improving and maintaining high Client Satisfaction scores by providing exceptional service
- Developing a working knowledge of key Corporate Banking products applicable to the industry sector you support
- Undertaking detailed client meeting preparation and attending meetings with or without a Banker
- Project managing the deal process, liaising closely with all stakeholders
- Ensuring servicing activity is directed towards the appropriate contact point & educating clients to use correct servicing channels
- Demonstrating cautiousness, sound judgment and appropriate and timely escalations in the management of all types of risk applicable to the role

Skills that will help you in the role:
- Awareness of business/personal customer solutions
- Knowledge of credit risk processes and policy
- Be qualified or working towards Professional Study Qualifications eg IFS
- Knowledge of control environment and AML risk

Our Commercial Road Branch is a large branch in the heart of Southampton, working alongside Community Bankers, Essential Bankers and other Mortgage Advisors, it's a vibrant environment that welcomes customers from the local area to really help them in their banking journey.
