What you'll be doing?

Role Purpose
The completion process is the last step in the journey to become a customer. You will be responsible for ensuring all mortgage offer conditions are satisfied and financial threats through, security risk, financial crime or error are managed so that customers complete loans when they need to and that these comply with their offer of advance

The Completions officer will liaise and provide guidance to brokers, valuers and solicitors on lending policy and internal processes.


Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Underwriters and Case Managers on any completion queries i.e., COT received, completion calls, updates to all parties
  • Reviewing legal correspondence from solicitors, providing responses where possible and referring queries to the underwriter or valuer if appropriate
  • Pursue outstanding documents ensuring offer conditions are satisfied before authorising the release of funds.
  • Capability of meeting service level agreements and maintaining excellent customer service
  • Authenticate the Certificate of Title to ensure details provided by the panel of solicitors are accurate and adequate to proceed to completion.
  • Utilising the Solicitors Query Guide, Lenders Handbook and other resources where necessary before making a welljudged decision.
  • Showing confidence in your decisionmaking when either rejecting/accepting a COT and calling the Solicitors before rejecting the COT.
  • Dealing with various other ad hoc duties that help to assist the Team to ensure a smooth daytoday running.
  • Processing of Certificates of Titles (COTs) to ensure compliance with all mortgage offer conditions prior to signoff by a senior team member.

Skills and experience

  • 12 months experience as a Completions Officer within a fastmoving buytolet lender is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of mortgages and lending
  • IT literate, including G Suite
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively, working on own initiative and as part of a team in order to meet SLA's and deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; able to remain calm under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible approach and attitude
  • Confident in dealing with brokers and solicitors and thirdparty stakeholders
