MacKenzie King are recruiting a
Part Time Payroll Officer (20 Hours) on a
10 month fixed term contract for an organisation that promotes learning and strengthening communities around Suffolk. As a
Payroll Officer you will take sole responsibility for end to end payroll of the whole organisation.
The permanent employee that you will be covering has been sure to create detailed process notes to assist you in covering the payroll functionwhile they are away on sabbatical leave.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Processing all payroll actions accurately and in a timely manner to meet the weekly and monthly deadlines;
- Process all data within the GDPR guidelines;
- Accurately input data for starters, leavers and amendments to contract into the HR/Payroll software (ITrent) and associated excel spreadsheets
- Act as the first point of contract for all payroll and pensions queries both internal and external
- Reply to Local Government Pension Scheme and Group Pension enquiries
- Complete monthly checking of payroll GTN reports before BACS sign off
- Process paperwork for Autoenrolment, LGPS and Group Personal Pension joiners and leavers.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations
- Willingness to be flexible regarding work hours in order to achieve strict deadlines and payroll days
- A good team player, sharing knowledge and ideas and able to learn from others
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills.
