    This Hospitals Inpatient ward hosts patients from various surgical specialties such as Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, and General Surgery. As part of the team, you will provide exceptional care tailored to each patient's clinical needs. They foster a culture of sharing best practices and offer excellent clinical leadership knowledge to support your professional growth.

    They provide training in managing patients in a surgical environment, including care for the Deteriorating Patient, Sepsis & News 2, and ILS.

    NMC professional registration


    • Demonstrable record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
    • Knowledge of current issues in professional practice, particularly relevant to the Unit
    • Knowledge of standards of professional practice in the wider healthcare context
    • Providing the highest standards of nursing care within care settings
    • Preparing clinic rooms for procedures, including sterile instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring resource efficiency
    • Acting as a mentor for students, learners, junior nurses, and Health Care Assistants, with progress recording
    • Organizing own time and taking responsibility for delegated duties from the Lead Nurse or unit nursing lead
    • Acting as a specialist/link person after undergoing relevant training in your area of expertise
    • Obtaining patient consent for specific procedures after completing relevant online packages/skills training
    • Delivering patient care following recognized standards of research and evidence-based best clinical practice.
