Description

The Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust Clinical Research Division seeks two full-time band 3 data administrators (fixed term until 31/03/24) to provide administrative support to all processes and policies within the department.


The post holder will be expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Research team(s)/services and the ability to provide detailed advice and information.

To provide comprehensive clerical support.

The post holder will be expected to work with the minimum of supervision exercising independent judgment and using their own initiative.

Confidentiality must be maintained at all times when dealing with patient/staff information. The post holder will be supervised by the General Manager on a day-to-day basis.


The post holder will provide a confident and professional service to all patients and their parents/carers, whilst supporting them throughout their pathway of care.

  • To provide general administrative support to the service
  • Attending meetings as required taking and transcribing minutes within locally agreed timescales.
  • To deal effectively with all incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Monitoring and ordering of consumables
  • Diary management of senior management team
  • Answering phone calls into the department
  • Support in the coordination of divisional meetings, taking minutes and circulating meeting papers
  • Work closely with the Clinical Research Facility Operational Manager (and other members of the management team as required) to support the collection, maintenance and quality assurance of core research study data on the EDGE database through liaison with researchers and research delivery staff
  • Provide support in the production of associated reports for divisional research performance oversight
