    Accounts Receivable Supervisor
    Location: Newcastle under Lyme College
    Permanent 37 hours per week
    Salary: £26,113 - £27,219

    Newcastle & Stafford Colleges Group is financially one of the strongest of its kind in the country with very high success rates, amongst the top 10% nationally.

    The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 620 students on higher education programmes. We have over 2,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisation skills to take on this role in the Finance department.

    Reporting directly to the Group Accountant and working alongside a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for managing the Group sales position and maintaining the Accounts Receivable Ledger.

    Duties are varied and include maintaining debtors details on the finance system, including the creation of new accounts and the amendment of customer details, generating accurate invoices to customers on a timely basis and running and critically reviewing the reports on the ACR ledger to identify the Group's debt position.

    In addition to a good standard of general education you should have completed the CCIM qualification along with previous experience of working in a finance environment. You will have a confident manner with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, excellent MS Office Skills (Word and Excel) and will be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    ? To identify and undertake the most suitable action in relation to overdue debt.
    ? To produce standard debt collection correspondence and to develop case histories, for future reference, by keeping electronic correspondence files for each debtor.
    ? To consult with the Group Accountant to develop bespoke collection strategies for debts outside the Colleges standard terms including developing relationships with the customer to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
    ? To liaise with departments to improve debt management processes and educate users, including advice on appropriate lines of communication with other organisations.
    ? To resolve issues raised by internal and external parties, recommending further action.
    ? To lead and supervise the Accounts Receivable Team.
    ? To provide cover for the Accounts Payable Supervisor when required.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    ? Has previous experience of working in a finance environment
    ? Has completed the CICM qualification.
    ? Works with accuracy and pays attention to detail.
    ? Has the ability to organise own workload, work to deadlines and manage the sales ledger function
