- Equipment build and configuration inspection

- Power-up, fusing, and equipment functionality checks
- Any other equipment-specific tests detailed in the project hardware test specification
- PLC-based automation control panels
- IT cubicles containing computing and networking equipment
- Peripheral equipment, including printers and scanners
- Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, general assembly prints, wiring schedules, and parts lists
- Understanding and implementing test procedures and instructions
- Inspecting and testing cubicles in line with company standards
- Maintaining/completing test documentation and reports
- Having operational knowledge of components such as MCBs, RCDs, fuses, transformers, power supplies, and safety-critical components
- Proficiency in using electronic multi-meters and other test equipment
- Experience within an ISO 9001 compliant quality system
- Willingness and ability to attend customer sites to witness equipment tests
- Current driving licence
- Ability to work towards SC Clearance
- Ability to work independently following appropriate training and experience
- Ability to conform to Health and Safety practices within company premises and at client sites
- Ability to work as part of a wider production and test team

Our client, a leader in the design and build of control systems and control system integration for decades, works in highly regulated and challenging industrial environments. They deliver critical projects across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing sectors.
Role Description:
As part of the Inspection and Test Team, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing equipment to ensure its safety and functional operation. Testing and inspection are completed using electrical schematic drawings and a project-specific Hardware Test Specification. The Inspection and Test Specification identifies the inspections and tests to comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive, along with any customer-specific standards. The role includes customer acceptance testing, occasional site work, and support for the Software Team on an ad-hoc basis.
