    Description

    Job summary

We have a vision to achieve excellentpatient experience, each and every time. This is set out within the Trusts Strategy Delivering MyFuture.

The Trust is on a journey towards a positive and supportive culture, in whichcontinuous improvement is part of everyday work. There have been greatachievements, with many projects that have transformedaspects of services and improvement in staff experience, however,we know this is inconsistent. Over the last year there has beenfurther work to help achieve greater consistency within leadership, approachto work and behaviour -including MY Values into Action, a new accountabilityframework, a fresh look at our improvement and transformation priorities, Boarddevelopment work, etc.

But to truly shift the dial, quickly and consistently, do we need to take a look at how we connect all thesepieces of work into one framework that becomes how we all do things aroundhere? This means bringing together our approaches to improvement, quality andsafety, leadership and culture in order to deliver on our strategy and draw aclear line for teams between objectives at their level and the strategic goalsof the Trust. During February and March we undertook a readinessassessment to support development of a roadmap to ensure continuous qualityimprovement is embedded throughout our Trust and we empower and equip all ourfrontline teams to be able to do this as part of daily work.

    Main duties of the job

The postholder is responsible for the continued design, implementation and maintenance of the Trust approach to improvement which incorporates how we organise, deliver and improve to achieve our strategy. This will also incorporate the leadership and delivery of all the Trusts value stream improvements, working collaboratively with the divisional and clinical teams, prioritising where the greatest opportunities are based on evidence and information. The Deputy Director of Improvement will ensure our quality improvement approach is underpinned by our values and behaviours to embed continuous improvement across all our services and teams, at every level of the Trust in order to provide the innovative and exceptional standards of patient care and experience the Trust is striving to provide.
