This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and bespoke house builder at a key stage in their development.


Reporting to the MD this will be a varied and all-encompassing role which offers excellent opportunities for progression and the chance to make a real difference to the business.

The company is growing rapidly and the role would include the following responsibilities.

  • Overall responsibility for the day to day running of the accounts function
  • Producing monthly management accounts and reporting to strict deadlines
  • Supervision of two members in the accounts admin team
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Variance analysis
  • Preparation of the year end audit trail
  • Sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
  • Update and maintain financial records, contracts, annual budgets, tax reports and financial statements.
  • Liaising with other departments.
  • Filing tax returns (CIS, tax, PAYE, end of year returns etc}
  • Close contact with clients and their requirements
  • Credit Control
  • Supervision of payroll

Key skills required:

  • A good all round accounting background
  • Ideally an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
  • Experience of the construction industry
  • Ability to lead a small team
  • Excellent IT and communications skills
