    Description
    The Project:

    Bechtel is collaborating with a prominent Indian company to offer Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) as part of a substantial upgrade/expansion of their current petrochemical plants in India.

    The PMC Services will be centered in India with team members based in Mumbai, project sites in India, and key contractor locations throughout the country.

    The EPCM Services for OSBL will be managed from Bechtel's offices in India. Your role in the PMC team will involve leveraging your expertise to support the client's objectives and uphold values such as fairness, diversity, inclusion, trust, and collaboration in line with Bechtel's Vision, Values, and Commitments.

    Responsibilities
    • Review contractor work to ensure adherence to project specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
    • Develop and update Piping Material Classes using Smartplant Reference Data (SRD).
    • Perform and verify piping calculations including wall thickness, branch reinforcement, vacuum, line blank thickness, etc.
    • Plan, coordinate, and create requisitions including Technical Bid Evaluations for all bulk piping components.
    • Assess vendor documents for all piping purchase orders.
    • Create technical, design, and purchasing specifications for bulk piping components.
    • Review Technical Queries and Deviation Requests, collaborating with clients and other disciplines on responses.
    • Coordinate technical details of piping materials across multiple Contractors.
    • Review MSDs, P&IDs, and ensure inter-discipline coordination as necessary.
    Skills and Qualifications

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent qualification.
    • Extensive experience and technical proficiency in piping materials and valves.
    • Knowledge of piping material requirements specific to petrochemical and polymer plants, and use of non-metallic materials.
    • Familiarity with Company procedures, design guides, and the role of piping materials in procurement, fabrication, and constructability.
    • Proficiency in Piping Material Specification software like SmartPlant Reference Data SRD.
    • Specific expertise in ASME B31.3 design and materials is crucial.
    • Understanding of industry codes and standards such as ASME, BIS, API, AWWA, ASTM, and MSS.
    • Preferred experience in a PMC role.
    Assignment conditions
    If selected, Bechtel will manage your relocation logistics (Indian visas, travel arrangements, and accommodation in Mumbai). If you are willing to relocate:
    • We will arrange accommodation for your stay in the country (solo or with your spouse).
    If you prefer a rotational setup:
    • Our single status rotational schedule is available, where you work in the country for 10 weeks and return home to the UK for 2 weeks alternatively throughout the project duration.
