Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a well-established business based in Newcastle on the appointment of an Accounts Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Providing financial and nonfinancial reporting and/or analysis on a regular and adhoc basis to support business goals.
- Responsibility for ensuring VAT, PAYE/NIC, and other HMRC payments are made accurately and on time.
- Assisting with the delivery of key performance indicators of Finance across multiple areas.
- Monthly task completion of transactional tasks during the month end schedule.
- Ensuring transactional corrections are identified
Role requirements:
- Previous accounting experience in a similar role
- Understanding of accounting principles and statutory requirements and regulations.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience of using Excel (Intermediate level ideally).
- Demonstrable experience using and managing accounting software.
- Strong communication skills.
