Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a well-established business based in Newcastle on the appointment of an Accounts Assistant.


Responsibilities:


  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Providing financial and nonfinancial reporting and/or analysis on a regular and adhoc basis to support business goals.
  • Responsibility for ensuring VAT, PAYE/NIC, and other HMRC payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Assisting with the delivery of key performance indicators of Finance across multiple areas.
  • Monthly task completion of transactional tasks during the month end schedule.
  • Ensuring transactional corrections are identified

Role requirements:


  • Previous accounting experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of accounting principles and statutory requirements and regulations.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Experience of using Excel (Intermediate level ideally).
  • Demonstrable experience using and managing accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills.

Job Types:

Salary:
From £24,000.00 per year
