    Description

    Job Title: Class 1 Driver

    Location: Newport, UK

    Hourly Rate: per hour

    About the Company: We are a reputable transportation company based in Newport, committed to providing excellent service to our clients. As part of our expansion, we are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Safely operate and maneuver Class 1 vehicles in various road and weather conditions.
    • Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or concerns promptly.
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, manifests, and any necessary paperwork.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Valid Class 1 driving license.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 Driver preferred.
    • Clean driving record with no major violations.
    • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
