- Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for trunking operations, adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Transport goods between different locations, ensuring efficient delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road-worthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
- Communicate effectively with the transportation team and other drivers to coordinate trunking operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns that may arise during deliveries.
- Valid Class 1 driving licence with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
- Clean driving record and a thorough understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of road safety and excellent driving skills.
- Ability to work varied start times throughout the day/night, you will be expected to cover some or all weekends due to being a retail client.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Competitive hourly pay rates ranging from £14.92 to £18.63 per hour.
- Overtime after 45 hours.
