We are looking to recruit an Activity Coordinator /Support Time and Recovery (STR).


The roles are within our Inpatient Wards at Bolton, the role will be supporting individuals with a broad spectrum of acute and enduring mental illness and assisting them in their treatment and recovery process.

Beech Ward - this is a 20 bedded male Inpatient acute ward.

Oak Ward - this is a 22 female bedded Inpatient acute ward.

Maple House - this is a 6 bedded male Psychiatric Intensive Nursing Unit.

Knowledge of inpatient care is desirable although not essential.

You will be expected to assist and support the patients under the guidance of qualified staff in order to promote recovery and well-being.

You will be supported by the team and manager and encouraged to develop skills within the care environment.


The post holder under supervision will plan and coordinate and implement a range of individual and group activities designed to meet the needs of the service users that supports them in their recovery pathway.


As the post holder you will be required to maintain up-to-date and accurate records, and to work within a context where issues of confidentiality and risk management are paramount.

Working hours are Monday - Sunday on a shift pattern.


Under the supervision of a qualified practitioner the post holder will plan and coordinate and implement a range of individual and group activities designed to meet the needs of the services users.


The post holder will be required to use their initiative when working independently on the wards and are expected to report any clinical progress or change to a qualified practitioner and record findings in electronic care records.

The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users' and their carer's.
