    Description

    We are seeking a Classics teacher to cover a period of maternity leave, whether newly qualified or more experienced, to join a school where Classics is an exciting and popular subject. There could also be the opportunity for the right person to take on the additional responsibility of Second in Department. This could be either a part-time or full-time position offering:

  • An exciting time of curriculum reform (Latymer is replacing most GCSEs with internally designed and assessed courses from 2027);
  • The possibility of appointment as Second in Department;
  • The opportunity to contribute to the wider extracurricular life of the school through the Classical Society;
  • The opportunity to become involved in running overseas trips to Italy, Greece or Sicily at Easter and other domestic trips to Bath, the British Museum and various plays;
  • A departmental environment that encourages ambitious and innovative approaches to teaching and assessment;
  • A dynamic team of teachers with a range of styles;
