Description

Specialist Group are currently seeking site finishing carpenters to join our team within Central London.

Essential Criteria:

Individuals who can install joinery items on time, to a high standard, in a safe working manner.
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery
CSCS and SSTS/SMSTS Certification
Previous experience working in a number of sectors; commercial, residential, healthcare and education.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Assist supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
To inspect, where necessary, defects or repairs reported, identifying the reason for the problem and ensuring it is repaired within reasonable response time.
Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
Ability to operate tools and other equipment.
Install fixtures and fittings such as handles, locks and hinges.
Perform finishing carpentry including siding, flooring and builtins.
Comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and other tradesmen.

Rates are negotiable and dependent upon skill level and experience.
