    Description

    Established in 2003, PDi is a leading provider of engineering consultancy, project management and technical secondment services to the energy sector – with specialist expertise and experience in subsea decommissioning and energy transition.

    PDi has an enviable client base and strong track record supporting developers and operators to engineer and execute the most challenging subsea projects within tight budgets and ambitious deadlines.

    Our comprehensive suite of services ensures we are a key provider to our clients throughout their assets' journeys – through concept, design, operation, decommissioning and energy transition.

    Following multiple significant contract awards, we are expanding our Project Engineering team and are currently recruiting for motivated, diligent and energised Project Engineers.

    Project Engineers are required to take responsibility for project work assigned to them in support of the company's core business whilst working as part of a team that provides guidance to less experienced engineers.

    Projects Engineering Manager and Lead Project Engineers.
    Liaise with and review sub-contractor deliverables
    Develop and review engineering documents and data
    Mentor graduate engineers as required
    The main responsibilities of the Project Engineer are:

    ~ Office based and offshore project engineering, mentoring, tender support, project management support and business development support.


    Onshore Project Engineering:
    Prepare project documentation such as work procedures, method statements / procedures, reports, technical notes, MoM's, risks assessments, cost estimates and schedules as required by the project;
    Support and advise supporting function personnel (draughting, structural, analysis, DCC etc.) Participate in project or site HIRA's/HAZID/HAZOP/SJA processes in conjunction with project teams and site managers;
    Attend project meetings/client conferences as required;
    Provide offshore support as required by the project.


    Offshore Project Engineering:
    Demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of offshore project being executed;
    Prepare, report and manage all required project documentation throughout the course of the offshore works;
    Responsible for running the shift and attending daily project meetings if being utilised in an execution role;
    Responsible for managing subcontractors for the execution of their discreet packages within the offshore scope;
    Participate/run offshore HIRA's/SJA processes in conjunction with project teams, offshore managers and vessel crew.
    Oversee and mentor graduate engineers on technical matters and company/industry standards.

    Assist Project Managers/Senior Project Engineers as required during tendering scopes.
    Project Management Support

    Support the Project Manager as required with deliverables such as weekly/monthly reporting, cost budgeting, tracking and forecasting;

    Assist the Project Manager in developing CTRs and schedule throughout the duration of the project to support execution works.

    The Project Engineer shall be compliant with all PDi policies and procedures available within the QMS.
    Engineering execution and procedure development experience
    Experience in Oil and Gas, offshore renewables or similar is desirable
    Experience offshore is desirable Experience
    University degree level qualified in relevant engineering discipline
