SAP Data Migration Lead - Remote Working - Inside IR35


Our client, a leading global brand, are currently looking to hire a SAP Data Migration Lead to join the team on a contract basis.

This role would be largely remote working, with the client site based in London.

The client is embarking on a significant Business Transformation Programme underpinned by SAP S/4 HANA.

The programme aims to drive process and data standardisation and simplification, and will be delivered over a multi-year period with global geographicreach.

In this role as
Global Data Quality Lead,you will manage the delivery of a data cleanse and establish data quality and governance processes through the implementation of MDG within the programme.

You will convert the data cleansing and governancebusiness requirements into technical data requirements and oversee a data cleanse and the design and build of MDG processes and data enabling the onward governance and control of master data aligned to the clients Business Transformation Programme.


Top Accountabilities:


  • Support the Data Lead to setup the Data Cleanse team and process, and establish a data cleanse process with the chosen data partner for data cleansing
  • Lead the scoping of data objects for data cleanse and establish metrics and reporting process for data cleanse
  • Support the Data Lead to establish the data cleanse network across all regions and business units to progress data cleansing during implementation
  • Support the Data Lead to create the Data Quality team
  • Work within the agreed framework to deliver the MDM workflow scope
  • Work with the Data Governance Lead to establish data quality processes and reporting framework for transition to during implementation
  • Work closely with the Data Architect group and functional workstream leads to ensure the data cleansing and data quality framework supports the onward requirements
  • Manage the legacy data cleanse process working with the MDM partner, functional design teams and BAU teams
  • Manage the MDG data plan and the Workstream DQ Leads, working with the MDM partner

Required Competencies:


  • Experienced in managing multidisciplined teams on Global SAP Data implementations
  • Experienced in managing and delivering large scale SAP data cleanse projects within global organisations
  • Experienced in establishing MDM processes in large global organisations
  • Experienced managing 3rd party Data partners in global SAP programmes
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP and key migration factors between SAP ECC and SAP and MDG
  • Experience in managing data migration projects involving development, documenting, testing and delivering to rigid project timescales
  • Competency in designing, building, testing and deploying the SAP MDM components required for successful integrations to SAP and nonSAP systems
  • Effective project scoping and delivery

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:


  • 10+ years' experience managing teams on large scale programmes
  • 10+ years' experience managing complex SAP Data migration and Master Data Management projects
  • 10+ years' experience managing multiple partners on SAP data projects
  • Experience with several of the following solutions: SAP ECC, SAP S/4, SAP MDG, PowerBI, QlikSense, Syniti DSP
  • Good knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA products
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Finance, Commercial and Procurement MDM
  • Technical experience with several of the following SAP data objects: material master, vendor master, customer master, business partner, profit centre, cost centre, chart of accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good business relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage crossfunctional teams in a heavily matrixed environment
