- Significant experience in merger control and foreign direct investment rules (particularly the National Security and Investment Act)
- Also, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, market studies and investigations and state aid and subsidy control, including the EU Foreign Subsidy Regulation (preferred but not required)
- Interest or experience in CMA consumer protection cases is also preferred.
- Clear and precise preparation and drafting of competition documentation
- Conducting legal research using internal and external resources
- Assisting in the preparation of legal articles
- Liaising with clients under partner supervision
- Developing an informal network of internal and external contacts
- Ability to acquire, consolidate, and apply current legal knowledge
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and numerical communication skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ambitious and eager to contribute to a growing department
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the firm's market position
