An exciting opportunity has arisen within the urological cancers administration team at Charing Cross Hospital's Urology department.The post holder will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating and managing the Prostate Cancer clinics and thus will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside Consultants, registrars, nurses, other pathway co-ordinators within the Urology Service.
The post holder will work closely with the relevant team members to ensure that patient pathways are co-ordinated effectively, patients for Prostate service are booked into the appropriate clinics and that a high quality customer service is provided.
Implement and maintain an efficient internal system and process to ensure the outpatient access target is met for all new referrals to the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Ensure effective communication networks are developed between all organisations that transfer GP referrals to the Urology service
Work closely with other administrators and clinic staff regarding individual patient queries to ensure targets are met and patients are treated efficiently and equitably
Monitor and review patient care and/or treatment progress using the Patient Tracking List in line with Trust and local policies
Identify from the Tracking List the next steps in the patient care pathway in line with clinical need
Receive patient referrals and administer in line with timings and requirements as set out in Trust and National policies
