Job Purpose:


As the Environmental Advisor you will assist the Environment Manager and Environment team in compliance with the environmental management system, legislation compliance and data reporting.

To complete trend analysis of environmental data and assisting in the overall environmental strategy across the networks and business functions.


What you'll get to work on:

  • Work with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that the environmental management system is communication and understood
  • Promote the communication of best practice in environmental matters in conjunction with the SHES strategy
  • Support the business functions to ensure compliance with all environmental management system documentation
  • Work with the business to ensure compliance with new environmental legislation and provide support on environmental risk management
  • Collate business and network data in a timely manner and submit to the Environment Manager for regular reporting and compliance purposes
  • Monitor progress towards environmental goals through data analysis and interpretation, supporting with interventions as needed and completing required month end and year end reporting
  • Develop and implement environmental campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the environmental management system and environmental strategy
  • Carry out regular site and project visits and inspections to Cadent's internal assurance plan
  • Produce, maintain, and provide technical updates of environmental management standards ensuring compliance with legislation, work procedures and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Support investigations, providing technical knowledge on environmental matters

Who are we looking for:


  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent
  • Effective written communication to support with drafting: management standards, guidance, training, tools, and implementation plans for them
  • Have a keen interest in the environment
  • Experience of stakeholder management with other departments and interacting with peers
  • Data and trend analysis skills
