    Controls Engineer

    A fantastic opportunity is available for a Controls Engineer to join a company that specializes in providing services to the Energy, Food Processing, and Pharmaceutical Industry with a unique approach. As a Controls Engineer, your main responsibility would be to handle all commissioning tasks associated with multi-disciplined projects to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Job Role: Control Panel Engineer

    Job Type: Permanent/Full Time

    Salary: £30,000-£40,000 Depending on skills and experience

    Location: Cambridgeshire

    Hours: Monday-Friday

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to interpret and work with electrical schematic diagrams.
    • Wiring electrical control panels of various sizes.
    • Performing tasks like crimping, terminating cables, soldering, fitting components, and wiring.
    • Troubleshooting panels as required to address wiring errors and component malfunctions.
    • Managing controls design from inception to completion, encompassing hardware and software design, control panel construction, and meeting specifications.
    • Efficiently handling project requirements by setting detailed milestones and timelines to ensure timely project completion.
    • Continuously enhancing manufacturing control panel systems.

    Requirements:

    • Communicate changes to Engineers or Team Leaders for review before completion.
    • Effective communication with all team members.
    • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
    • Adherence to high standards of quality and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in industrial electrical panel systems.
    • Capability to work with detailed functional specifications and schematics.
    • Thorough understanding of safety requirements, regulations, and standards.
    • Demonstrated capability to manage workload, coordinate with the team, and meet project deadlines.
    • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to define issues clearly, communicate barriers, and implement creative solutions.
    • Advantageous: Specific experience with hardware/software programs and AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN.
