- To provide professional leadership and training to Basic Grade, Trainee BMS, Associate Practitioners (equivalent grades) and Medical Laboratory Assistants
- HCPC State Registration as a Biomedical Scientist in Blood Sciences discipline
- BSc (Hons) Biomedical degree or equivalent
- Advanced working knowledge of Blood sciences automated techniques and practices including Biochemistry/Haematology/ Coagulation /Immunology and Blood Transfusion analytical platforms
- Competency to perform testing and validate results for Blood Sciences disciplines and in Blood transfusion duties to defined protocols

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Blood Sciences team at The Christie Pathology Partnership.
This is full-time permanent role and you will be expected to participate in 24/7 rota.
Christie Research has more than 650 open trials and is the largest centre in the UK for commercial cancer trials.
It is a Cancer Research UK Major Centre, part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre, and hosts the NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility.
The Trust is also one of the "first wave" of hospitals offering CAR-T therapy on the NHS.To be able to rotate through all areas of a Laboratory as required (dependent on qualifications, experience and training), to perform all designated duties in accordance with local working practices, to maintain high Professional standards and conform to Health and Safety regulations
