    Data Engineer
    Full time - 40hrs a week
    Head office based - Leeds
    Salary- Competitive
    Hybrid

    The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company's data infrastructure.

    They work closely with the Head of Technology, analysts, and software developers to ensure that the data is accurate, reliable, and accessible to those who need it.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Design, build, and maintain the company's data infrastructure, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.

    Collect, process, and cleanse data from a variety of sources, including structured and unstructured data, in order to make it ready for analysis.

    Implement data governance and security policies to ensure that data is protected and compliant with relevant regulations.
    Work with the business to understand its data needs and help them access the data they need.
    Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, and take corrective action as needed.
    Continuously evaluate and improve the company's data infrastructure to ensure that it is scalable, efficient, and cost-effective.


    Experience:
    3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related field.
    Strong knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
    Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
    Experience with data warehousing technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
    Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Airflow, or Glue.
    Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Ability to work well in a team environment.
