Activ Camps, a well established and highly regarded company, is now looking for a driven, engaging and highly organised childcare professional with the passion, experience and capability to further support the management of our camps and clubs, with specific focus on the Early Years and those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- To work closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager to plan the delivery and expansion of Activ Camps' Before and Afterschool Clubs.
- To represent Activ Camps in conversations and negotiations with key stakeholders, including existing and future venues, clients and staff, particularly with regards to Before and Afterschool Clubs.
- To support in the management of Activ Camps' Before and Afterschool Clubs Provision, overseeing associated Site Managers and Playworkers to ensure that expected standards are maintained and that the requirements of the Before and Afterschool Clubs are met.
- To oversee the creation and implementation of all resources required to ensure Before and Afterschool Clubs Policies and Procedures can be successfully and efficiently upheld.
- To lead and inspire children, staff and colleagues, maintaining a positive, proactive and professional attitude at all times.
- To uphold Activ Camps' Safeguarding and Health & Safety Policies at all times, ensuring that the children's and staff's safety and wellbeing is always our first priority.
- To oversee the development and delivery of staff training events and resources, with a particular focus on Before and Afterschool Clubs, including Continued Professional Development.
- To work with the Operations Manager to lead in the further development of Activ Camps' Early Years and SEND Policies, leading in the implementation of these across our provisions
- To be a proactive first point of contact for parents/carers of children in the Early Year and/or with SEND, supporting them and their child's experience of holiday camp before, during and after the event
- To oversee the development and delivery of staff training events and resources, focussing on the Early Years and SEND
- To lead Camps, Clubs and Events whenever required to ensure the highest possible quality of provision
Personal Specifications
Essential Attributes:
- Previous experience working in childcare/education settings
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and positive working relationships with colleagues
- Highly motivated to hit targets, highly organised and proactive
- Positive and professional
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience working in Breakfast/After School Club Setting and/or multiactivity camps settings
- Previous experience working with children with SEND and/or the Early Years
- Enhanced DBS Checks
- Formal Childcare Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid Training
- Drivers Licence
Salary:
£26,000 per annum
Contract:
Full Time Contract

Monday 23rd January 2023
Work hours:
Subject to change based on requirements of role and our provisions
Holidays:
23 days pro-rata plus all public holidays
Location:
Company Office in Brixton, London, with possibility for remote working.
Regular visits to various venues in South London where our camp and clubs operate.
Two rounds of interview, two suitable references and a contract returned with associated Annexes signed. Enhanced DBS Check to be completed.
Training requirements:
On the job training and induction.
