    Position: Outdoor Activity Instructor at Ultimate Survival - Hill End Outdoor Centre, Oxford

    Salary: £83.55 - £135.47 per day (Inclusive of Holiday Pay, based on a 9.5-hour day)

    Key Details

    Supervisor: Ultimate Survival Camp Leader

    Contract: Seasonal positions available during May Half Term and Summer school breaks.

    Working Hours: Weekdays from 8am to 6pm. Full-time or part-time roles open. There might be an additional 3 hours required on Thursday evenings for extra activities. Overtime pay will be provided for this.

    About the Role

    As an Ultimate Survival Instructor, your role involves leading outdoor activities and workshops for groups of 7 to 14-year-old children. You will guide them through week-long courses focusing on fun, teamwork, and skill development while ensuring their well-being.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and conduct activities for 7-14 year olds, emphasizing participation, development, and enjoyment.
    • Encourage engagement through enthusiasm and energy.
    • Strictly follow all camp policies, including health and safety guidelines.
    • Assist in camp setup and closing procedures.
    • Act as a mentor and ensure the welfare of the children throughout their stay.
    • Supervise children during non-activity times.
    • Uphold the company's values and professionalism.
    • Perform other necessary tasks like maintenance and cleaning.

    Requirements

    • Passionate and energetic individual with a love for working with children.
    • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Prior experience in outdoor education and working with children.
    • Excellent communication skills and confidence in leading groups.
    • Flexible, team-oriented, and able to handle challenges.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Degree or equivalent experience.
    • NGB qualification in adventurous activities.
    • Experience in similar camp settings with 7-14 year olds.
    • Valid outdoor or pediatric first aid certification.
