Reference No Job Title- Finance Business Partner- Type- Permanent- Salary Range- Competitive- Division- Business Services- Sub Division- Capital Markets, National Agency- Department- Accounts Location- 55 Baker StreetWe are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join the Capital Markets, National Agency sub-division.

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with the sub-divisional heads, department heads, and support staff within their areas of responsibility to provide financial reporting, analysis and advice.

Ultimately, the purpose of the team is to provide key stakeholders with regular and pertinent M.I. to help drive optimal decision-making and successful business strategies.


In the Finance Business Partner role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing updates (incl aggregated view, outperformance/underperformance areas, identifying trends and variances to plan) for sub-divisional head
  • Delivering performance updates and reviews for department heads
  • Working closely with colleagues across the Commercial Division and Business Services to provide and develop accurate M.I. including budgets, forecasts and long range planning
  • Regular feedback to the Finance Partner incl red flagging
  • Adhoc deep dives as applicable including restructure and scenario modelling
  • Creating business cases for new opportunity areas
  • Providing clear information and guidance for nonfinancial stakeholders
  • Presenting at subdivisional and department boards, drawing out KPIs, trends, areas for concern/further investigation etc based on indepth analysis and understanding of the relevant data

Experience and Skils required:


  • Working as a financial analyst/accountant with strong analytical skills incl financial modelling
  • Demonstrable commercial understanding and guidance to assist key business decisions
  • Communication skills communication of financial data to nonfinance staff
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting nonfinance stakeholders
  • Agility of moving between high level/bigger picture and lower level detail
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with all levels from senior management to support functions
  • Consultative approach, with excellent stakeholder management skills incl challenging
  • Project management / coordination skills to manage the annual budget cycle
  • Large, national or international company experience would be beneficial
  • Involvement in strategic planning; advantageous not essential
  • Experience of SAP, BPC and Business Objects preferable
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Aptitude to learn new systems quickly
