Overview:
This is a newly defined role to focus on product and managing NPD pipeline through to successful market launch.
Our client are offering a great opportunity to work with established market-leading Brands in an exciting and growing category, as they strengthentheir Manchester based marketing team.
With responsibilities across core categories and a specific focus on NPD, you will be fully involved in the delivery of growth plans.
Your role will involve:
- Leading development of the NPD pipeline for brands and licenses across a range of categories
- Project managing product NPD lifecycles and renovations across all stagegates, from opportunity identification to launch, meeting delivery deadlines accordingly.
- Identifying product opportunities by proactively keeping up to date with latest market, trends, research and technologies.
- Working closely with buying, sales, operations and brand marketing teams to ensure delivery of successful launches in line with brand and customer priorities.
- Developing NPD business cases for approval that include consumer insight, commercial analysis, market mapping and SRP development.
- Managing the Monthly Innovation Meeting to ensure process rigour and timely approvals, and aligning internal and external stakeholders to proposals.
- Monitoring and reporting on NPD performance through analysis of market and sales data, proactively diagnosing issues and opportunities.
- Effectively launching new NPD to sales teams, with insight driven sales packs and best in class marketing assets.
Key skills & experience:
- A passion for product, ideally with experience in têxtile/fashion environment.
- Project management able to independently run projects and lead cross functional teams to deliver results
- Commercial awareness confident with numbers and an ability to sell concepts to sales teams and customers
- Creative assessment experience of briefing design and packaging and assessing responses in line with brand guidelines and objectives.
- Content writing skills an advantage
- Organised and able to prioritise workload across multiple projects to meet fast deadlines.
- Confident communicator able to influence at all levels both internally and with external.
- Commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail.
- Driving licence is essential
