An exciting opportunity for an adaptable and motivated Buyer to join the purchasing and supply chain team within a successful manufacturing business.

The role is offered at a salary of up to £30,000 dependent on experience and is based in Bishop's Stortford.


Role responsibilities of the Buyer:

  • Creating and placing purchase orders
  • Monitoring supplier performance
  • Building effective supplier relationships
  • Obtaining quotations through tendering
  • Providing recommendations following the tendering process

Personal specification of the Buyer:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to demonstrate effective decision making
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • ERP/MRP experience, preferably SAP
  • Able to work collaboratively and as part of a team


This position will be suited to you if you have held a role within a purchasing or supply chain team as a: Junior Buyer, Buyer, Purchasing Coordinator, Procurement Coordinator, Purchasing Specialist, Procurement Specialist or similar.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
