Are you a hard-working and reliable person? Do you take pride in the quality of your work? In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective tyre-fitting service, and for the provision of general labouring duties within the workshop.

- To repair punctures on all types of wheels and tyres, to change wheels and use air operated equipment for removal and repair on all vehicles and items of mobile plant as directed
- To observe, recognise and report promptly on any vehicle and component defects and symptoms of impending failure disclosed during tyrefitting activities
- To provide as required all jobcosting and timerecording information using the documentation provided
- To operate an emergency response puncture service including travelling to and from location of puncture to repair and jacking up/changing wheels on site for all vehicles and items of mobile plant as directed, and to ensure that the specialist tyre van is serviceable and is fully equipped for such emergencies
- To carry out periodic inspections of vehicles and mobile plant after completion of daily operations to ensure that wheels and tyres are serviceable and that tyres comply with current MOT requirements
- To wash and clean vehicles in preparation for Goods Vehicle Certification, and to drive prepared vehicles to and from the Vehicle Inspection Agency for testing
- To participate in a 24hour callout service if so required
- To assist in the training of apprentices/trainees when required
- To operate all necessary specialised equipment supplied (including but not limited to forklift, mechanical sweeper etc), and to undertake appropriate relevant training
- To participate as directed in all quality assurance procedures and initiatives, including the completion and submission of appropriate documentation
Your Profile:
- Possess a full, current driving licence that enables them to drive in Northern Ireland
- Be able to demonstrate that they have at least one year's experience of undertaking HGV/LGV tyre repairs
- Please note, all eligible applicants must undergo and successfully pass a driving assessment
Additional Information:
- Full-Time, temporary assignment
- 37 hours per week
