We are a respected name in the civil engineering and construction markets to both Public and Private sector customers. We are seeking to appoint a Social Value Lead with an opportunity to progress into a managerial role.

The Position will be predominately office based but the successful individual will be expected to visit projects and events on occasions.

Responsibilities

Developing Social Value and community engagement programmes, and managing their successful delivery, on assigned projects.
Represents the projects at local events, external groups and industry seminars.
Liaising with external stakeholders on Social Value and community engagement issues.
Provide support and education to supply chain members to ensure Social Value targets and requirements are realised.
Reporting performance and sharing best practice on Social Value performance.
Plan, implement and deliver social value for the project, which delivers meaningful impact in the area.
Develop local partnerships with key third sector organisations and promote and coordinate fundraising and volunteering opportunities with communitybased groups

Skills required:

Experience and understanding of social value in construction
Experience of delivering programmes/projects with schools and community groups
Strong communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to deal confidently with colleagues, subcontractors and external consultants
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Ability to work as part of a team
Creativity and the ability to problem solve
