Job Description:
Valeo is seeking a senior finance professional for the role of Group Treasurer.
The Group Treasurer position is a new role, reporting into Assistant Group CFO, working closely with the Group CFO and Group Tax manager as well as divisional Finance Directors to set up and optimize the Group treasury function, manage debt obligations as well as driving cash generation initiatives across its divisions.
The Group has significantly raised its ambition in terms of day-to-day treasury management optimization, credit agency management as well cash generation delivery.
Key responsibilities
Drive group Cash generation and optimized treasury management.
- Ensure proper day to day management of the cash pooling process, including onboarding of all divisions (including acquisitions).
- Coordinate and lead divisional finance directors in providing accurate and documented 13week forecasts, with a focus on improving forecast accuracy.
- Be the first point of contact with credit agencies for any queries and lead financial communication and engagement with them.
- Managing relationship with the factoring partner and oversight of monthly divisional factoring reconciliations
- Evaluate additional financing opportunities (sale & lease back, reverse factoring etc) and implement them in line with agreed strategy with shareholders and banking documentation limitations.
- Support M&A by setting up appropriate funding structure for the acquisition, closing funding flows and day to day treasury operations postacquisition.
Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years Treasury management in multi geography / company / FMCG / systems
- Private equity ownership treasury and cash management (or experience in debt management)
- Tax constraints and opportunities related on cash management (transfer pricing, dividends payments, )
- Exposure to an IPO is a plus
Personal qualities
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal); need to communicate at all levels; must be able to engage with senior executives, head office finance team and divisional finance management.
- Ability to work alongside senior management at all levels within the business.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge and influence senior management.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationship and a collegiate manner is important.
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of an integrated team depending on context
- Flexible approach recognising that the Group is constantly evolving
- Has the gravitas and the ability to build respect for the Group Treasury function; have the vision and management capability to develop this function through influencing, advising, and developing the appropriate structures, processes, and procedures.
