    Description

    Job Responsibilities:

    This position's prime responsibilities are for the development of new (to CVI) deposition technologies, new materials systems, and new deposition products, including coating challenges undertaken for customers. The role focuses on improving the efficiency and throughput of existing equipment and processes. Additionally, the position is responsible for any external Coating research collaborations that CVI undertakes. The key responsibilities include:

    1. Monitor global developments in thin film technology
    2. Provide technical assessments of developing areas of application for new business opportunities
    3. Deliver business transformation through disruptive technology innovation
    4. Review customer and market feedback to maximize impact of development and innovation efforts
    5. Develop technology and innovation roadmaps aligned with customer needs
    6. Ensure access to manufacturing and process best practices
    7. Assist in business development, sales, and marketing functions
    8. Enable manufacturable results from development and innovation efforts
    9. Participate in proposal development and serve as a technical spokesperson for CVI Infrared
    10. Implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes in accordance with quality standards

    Process Leadership:

    Provide expert process knowledge and technical skills to achieve consistent manufacturing efficiency and process improvement. Display engaging and encouraging leadership to lead Coating R&D with vision. Lead production technicians with focus and consistency, promoting a unified team approach.

    Process Industrialisation:

    Work with production teams to industrialize new products, materials, and processes. Establish standards for quality, yield, and productivity. Communicate lessons learned for companywide process improvements.

    Your Profile:

    An Engineering Degree
    - Proven Knowledge of Thin Film Coating Deposition Design and Control
    - 5+ years of experience in high technology manufacturing or research labs
    - Competent in Project Management
    - Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    - Highly analytical mindset
    - Ability to lead change and work with teams at all levels
    - Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
    - Capability to travel internationally
