Moorfoot Building, Sheffield to be moved to Howden House Sheffield - both premises in Sheffield City Centre.


Salary:
£23,121 - £24,912 (pro-rata)


Hours: 22 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a Local Referral Clerk to join our team.

The role will provide administrative and call handling support to the Referral Unit and support to officers within District PPU.


As a Local Referral Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing call-handling and administrative support to the PVP Referral Unit
  • Maintaining and updating records, systems, and inventories
  • Creating and updating records on the South Yorkshire Police Child Protection Database
  • Processing and prioritising telephone calls to the Referral Unit
  • Research using Police Systems including PNC and PND and other police Internet based systems
  • Liaising with internal departments, other Police Forces and Agencies.
  • Attending multi agency meetings for the purpose of safeguarding and produce related reports and minutes

Skills and experience:


  • Experience of using Microsoft Word packages
  • Experience of working with confidential information
  • Must be able to type/input accurately. (You will be required to take a keyboard and audio typing test at interview)
