Management Accountant
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global retail company on the lookout for a Management Accountant for a 12month contract paying £350-£450 a day


This role is an integral part in the finance team Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, you are the trusted and credible Management Accountant for several main functions of the business.

You will bring a positive, hands-on nature to the role whichwill be vital in supporting the team and setting the company up for continued success


You will be responsible for:

  • Monthend
  • Calculate and reconcile any costs (direct and indirect), including accruals, prepayments and deferrals
  • Investigate material differences / variance analysis
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Prepare and sign off balance sheet recons for applicable accounts
  • Prepare the management accounts with supporting schedules and commentary
  • Fixed assets
  • Manage and update the fixed asset register on a monthly basis
  • Pass required journals and reconcile accounts for additions, disposals, depreciation and impairment of assets
  • Act as business partner for operational teams
  • Lead on VAT (including overseas jurisdictions) / PSA
  • Assist with corporation tax compliance
  • Provide annual audit support and assistance with drafting annual financial statements
  • Assist in implementation of best practice systems and processes
  • Support on analysis required for FP&A
  • Ad hoc analysis, tasks and project support
  • Close working relationship with accounts payable
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent) with experience in consumer industry
  • A track record of developing successful relationships inside and outside of finance team
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Enjoys being hands on and part of a global team
  • Intercompany experience desired
