    Regulatory Compliance Manager

    Stevenage - Transport Office (LM0228) / Hybrid - Bessemer Drive, Stevenage, SG1 2DL, you'll be required to work in the office approx. twice a week

    We have an exciting new opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Group Technical team to ensure that our Own Label (OEM) products and other brands sold by Currys in the UK and overseas comply to our high standards and with local and international legislation.

    You'll do this by keeping abreast of new and changing legislation in UK, Nordics and EU and representing Currys at Government and Industry panels and forums. You'll contribute towards influencing proposed legislation ensuring our OEM business and Currys are not put at a disadvantage.

    As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

    • Determining requirements to ensure compliance and managing risk for all product types for existing and new markets, consulting with wider team technical team and making recommendations to technical director
    • Producing process documentation and training as required to aide introduction and compliance to new policies and procedures
    • Reviewing and defining policies and procedures including Ethical Auditing, Chemical and Energy legislation, Simulated Transportation, Storage and Handling Requirements and Operation's guide
    • Working with the OEM team, Logistic, Commercial and retail colleagues to ensure sound product introduction and service support of new products
    • Representing Currys in a professional manner with external bodies such as the British Retail Consortium (BRC), Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), TechUK, DTG, Licensors and Suppliers

    You will need:

    • Previous experience with standards /product legislation covering a range of consumer products
    • Ability to assess technical risk and to formulate policies and processes
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to influence at different levels, both internally and externally
    • Project management and delivery skills
    • Ability to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
