An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our wonderful Estates & Facilities Team to provide an efficient and high quality service at Basildon Hospital.


You will co-ordinate the day to day operational responsibilities of the Customer Services Team and support the MSE Switchboard Services Manager in the overall provision and monitoring of a high quality and efficient Customer Service experience for all service users throughout the Trust.


You will need a polite, helpful, discreet and friendly manner, whilst remaining calm under pressure and coping with situations which can be demanding and sometimes distressing.


Ensuring effective and timely communications with all relevant stakeholders in regards to any incidents that could impact the Customer Services Department and the Trusts.


To be a key member of the Customer Services Team including providing relevant cover for other operators when service needs require it and to deputise in the absence of the MSE Switchboard/Services Manager including chairing and attending all relevant meetings.

Support in the recruitment of all Customer Service/Postal staff with the MSE Switchboard/Services Manager.


Supported by IT, ensure the Netcall Directory system, as well as all other system software is up to date and effectively maintained at all times, reporting any concerns to Senior Management.


Maintain up to date departmental reporting/operational procedures with the support of the MSE Switchboard/Services Manager, reviewing these continuously in line with service developments.

Maintain concise, timely and accurate ecords in accordance with Standing Financial instructions and Trust procedures on document retention.

Support the MSE Switchboard/Services Manager in maintaining the Customer Services/Postal departmental budgets within their agreed financial parameters.
