Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Mechanically biased Maintenance Technician to join our client based in South Tyneside. The company in question are offering a package that consists of;


Salary:
£41,102 p/a


Overtime rate:
£26.46 p/h

Call out rate:
£145.63 for seven days including weekends and stat holidays
Holidays: 32 days annual leave including 7 days in lieu of stat holidays including Christmas day.

THE ROLE
Carry out planned and reactive work on the plant, vehicles, equipment, infrastructure and buildings.

Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical installations, plant, vehicles, engineering systems, and equipment in accordance with current regulations and guidance.

To record works carried out, to include updating the computerised maintenance management system as required.
To carry out the appropriate statutory testing on plant and equipment.
Subject to approval by the Foreman, plan and manage the working day based upon the job cards issued.
Instruct others when required on aspects of own work. Provide advice, instruction and training to Apprentices.
Carry mobile phone and participate in the Standby/call-out rota for maintenance services.

THE PERSON
Recognised apprenticeship.
City and Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
Five years post apprenticeship experience in mechanical maintenance and installation.
Able to work at heights and confined spaces.
Full driving licence.
Able to work call out/standby.

THE PACKAGE

Salary:
£41,102 p/a
