Are you a creative and inspiring leader, wishing to progress your career? At Bramcote College we are looking to recruit an Assistant Head Teacher with responsibility for SEND and Inclusion. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious person with the right skills and experience to complement our forward-thinking, supportive and vibrant team. You will develop, manage and enhance the school's provision for pupils with a range of SEN. You will lead and co-ordinate a team of skilled teaching assistants and support colleagues in ensuring that all our students achieve the very best possible outcomes.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have worked as a SENCo for at least two years.

    • Have a proven track record of raising standards at whole school level

    • Be aligned to our values and vision and have a heart for inclusive practice

    • Be able to contribute to the whole school strategic vision

    • Have a professional understanding of inclusion and strategies for supporting and engaging young people

    • Possess the drive, energy, resilience and warmth to lead others.

Bramcote College is a friendly, inclusive and multicultural place to work and study. We secured a well-deserved Good judgement in April 2024, and achievement is on a secure upward trend. Our students are well-behaved and motivated. "Classrooms are calm and orderly. Around school, pupils are polite and respectful" – Ofsted 2024. We have excellent support from parents and the community, and a talented and positive staff team. We are ambitious for every student and provide high-quality pastoral care and support, as well as outstanding enrichment opportunities for our students and the local community. We are committed to excellent professional development for all. Continued school improvement is supported by membership of the White Hills Park Trust. The school is undergoing significant change as it is due to have a new building in September 2025.

"There are high aspirations for all pupils at Bramcote College. The school's motto encourages pupils to 'Work hard, Be well, Do well.' Pupils are happy and appreciate the opportunities that the school gives them." Ofsted 2024

The White Hills Park Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based in Nottinghamshire. Formed in 2012, it currently comprises two secondary schools, three primary schools and a special school and we are embarking on a period of steady growth.

The ethos of our Trust is a partnership of successful schools. Although the schools work closely together and share resources and support services, each school retains its own character, identity and autonomy. Our schools have strong local governing bodies, and leaders are empowered to make decisions on behalf of their schools. "Staff are proud to work in the school. They value the support that the school gives them to manage their workload and develop their expertise." Ofsted 2024

The Trust supports schools in providing the highest standards of education and care. All the schools in the Trust are currently judged good by Ofsted. Through the work of the Trust, we aim to build a culture of excellence, enabling our students to fulfil their potential and become responsible, positive citizens.

Our Trust is founded on the principle that by working together in a community of learning, our schools become beacons of outstanding practice, providing opportunities and benefits for pupils and the local community. Our academies are great places to work, where staff are valued and supported. We believe that high-quality, research-informed professional development is at the heart of an effective school improvement strategy, and support individual and career development.

Interviews will be held w/c 20 May 2023

The White Hills Park Trust welcomes applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, age or sexual orientation for posts within Educational Settings. The White Hills Park Trust is a Pathfinder for the Framework for Ethical Leadership in Education and expects all leaders in the Trust to embody these values in their daily work. The Trust is an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. All posts are subject to enhanced DBS with children's barred list checks and, in line with safer recruitment policies, references will be called prior to interview.
