The Opportunity

The HR function at Connells Group is going through an exciting period of change, and we are looking for a
Senior HR Vetting Administrator to join the team.

Based in Milton Keynes, you will be providing high quality, consistent HR vetting administration services to managers, employees and outside parties as defined by the HRSS Service Level Agreements(SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).


Purpose of job:


Key responsibilities of aSenior HR Vetting Administrator:

  • Define and communicate the team's priorities and workload, in line with the wider Departmental priorities and team job roles. Manage performance to ensure that the team achieves individual priorities and collaborates with colleagues to achieve wider goals
  • Working with the HR Administration Manager to implement and maintain vetting processes to ensure good HR practice
  • Ensuring the completion of all HR Vetting and Referencing
  • Requesting preemployment references to make sure they are provided in a timely fashion
  • Verifying preemployment references once provided and ensuring HR Systems are update
  • Identifying the different referencing requirements and ensure these are met
  • Submitting and reviewing Credit and DBS checks
  • Assisting the HR Administration Manager with the design, implementation and delivery of all HR Vetting related training and coaching
  • Maintaining records throughout the referencing process
  • Dealing with customer enquiries in a professional manner and providing an excellent customer service

Skills and Experience of a Senior HR Vetting Administrator:

  • Previous experience working within a vetting and reference administration role is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, someone who strives for excellence
  • A team player
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure, and adjust priorities to meet tight deadlines
